The Government of Uzbekistan and the UN agreed on a draft UN special General Assembly resolution on the declaration of the Aral Sea region a zone of ecological innovation and technology. The project was discussed at an international high-level conference "Aral Sea region - a zone of ecological innovations and technologies" held in Nukus on 25 October.
On 4 November 2019 was held the Second Congress of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. In the work of congress was attended by delegates elected at conferences of the Karakalpakstan Republican, regional and Tashkent city party organizations.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on introduction from November 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020 of a moratorium on cutting down trees and shrubs that are not included in the state forest fund.
