It is known that in the beginning of 2019 a new page was opened in the political life of the country. An ecological party has been created in Uzbekistan.
On 29 March representatives of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan took part in a round table in Tashkent on the topic: “Progress in the implementation of integrated water resources management (IWRM) in Uzbekistan” organized by the Global Water Partnership in cooperation with the GEF Agency for the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
On Wednesday, the Central Asia Climate Change Conference was launched in the capital of Uzbekistan. This event is one of the largest events in the region to address environmental issues.
On 26 March in Urgench district of Khorezm region the Khorezm party organization of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, together with Khorezm regional administration and Khorezm regional forestry department, laid an ecological garden covering 12.5 hectares.
On March 22, Geneva hosted an event “Partnership for People: the United Nations Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea Region in Uzbekistan” within the framework of the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the UNECE Region.
In accordance with paragraph 12 of the «Road map» for supporting the activities of the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea Region: on holding public actions in support of initiatives to mitigate the effects of the Aral crisis for the Aral Sea region, March 16-21, Khorezm, Bukhara and Karakalpak party organizations of the Ecological Party in Khorezm region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan organized charity khashars and other events under the slogan:(“Help to the Aral”) together with student volunteers Foundation of the United States Columbia University «The World Aral Region Charity INC».
On April 3, one of the biggest events in the field of environmental protection in Central Asia started in Tashkent. The Central Asia Climate Change Conference will last for two days, on April 3-4 of 2019. The event intends to continue the discussion of measures to combat climate change and draw attention to the priorities of the region.
